Who gives hope today? The social workers? The religious leaders?

Who wants social change today? What kind of social change? I would argue that the world needs a lot of change. I need to change. WE need to change.

Where are the real change agents of today? In Sweden, in the US, in the Middle East, in the Global south? As I social worker, I see that we are not doing enough to change the world. Where are they, the social workers, when the world is bleeding and the hope is fading?

And when we look upon the role of religion, the fantastic role and contributions by Faith Based Organisations locally and globally, I have the impression that more could be done. The social interventions carried out through caritas, diaconia and zakat, to mention some important areas, could be developed further in their respective religious traditions and beyond.

@socialwork, @caritas, @diaconia, @zakat
